Saffron Memory

Today, I was finally able to download all the photos and videos off my camera -- thanks to Dan, my computer man. That means the end of a 4.5 year old headache! I decided to move forward quickly and post some photos and a video! No more waiting!

In Feb 2005, I visited New York City to see the Gates in Central Park. I loved the way they transformed the winter scene. The sky looked bluer and distant pathways were easier to detect. The park was flooded with people. For me, it felt like community as many of the people were there for the same reason -- to experience the Gates. The saffron fabric was heavy enough to hold its own against the February breeze. I wished I had a hammock (and heavy sleeping bag) so I could just hang out and watch them move in unison. It was like being able to see wind. Check out the video -- it's important to see and hear them in motion. Be sure to turn on your sound so you hear the sounds of the park and the city. I know, it's sideway -- it's your chance to stretch your neck.
