Varigated Rose with Fern

A quick little bouquet. I wish I could remember the names for the rose and fern. Both were quite beautiful. The vase was purchased at a museum in Washington DC back in the 1980's. Actually, it's a pitcher. The handle is in toward the back and the spout is covered by the rose.
Every petal on the rose was different. Some were sold, some had spots. Often the two sides of one petal were quite different. A few petals were split right down the middle; the left side was solid and the right side was speckled. Even as the colors faded it was beautiful taking on colors I've rarely seen in a rose such as a dusky rust.
