Plein Air.Day 2. Part 4

Painting
This watercolor painting was done soon after the one posted yesterday. Yet, it seems to me, that my style is so unformed that I'm changing with each painting. I believe that if I continued to paint daily, I might settle into a recognizable style, but for now, that's not to be. Of all the paintings from this three day stint, it's the only one that includes a portion of the building behind the tree. This one has a bit of a Japanese feel as well as a cartoon quality -- almost a jolly feeling about it.
I had intended to work it a bit more on the third day but later realized it would be hard to do with dry paper. Rewetting the paper was out of the question as that would cause everything to run. Moreover, when I arrived on the third day, the weather and lighting had changed so much that I was looking at a different scene. I did not want to paint from a photo (nor did I have one), nor did I want to paint from my head. Both are the opposite of plein air, and that's what this painting class was all about.
Shooting
Due to lack of light, this was shot with a flash consequently, the colors a tad off, but nothing terrible.
