This virtual quilt was made with photos of two of my Dear Jane blocks: G2 - Mohawk Trail and G12 - Gloriae. This is not a restful combo. Why? I have four theories: (1) the two blocks compete rather than letting one predominate over the other; (2) the two blocks have about the same amounts of red and white; (3) both blocks are rather busy -- there are few open spaces; and (4) both blocks use a lot of triangles whose diagonal lines create a feeling of movement. Do you agree?

Mohawk Gloriae
