This bundle looks as humble as it's big sister. Most of the fabrics in this bundle are not quilting fabric but IBOL Guy says the fabrics will probably be used for clothing or something other than quilts. The outer fabric is plain white duck, a very heavy weight fabric. The bundle itself is an assortment of good-sized pieces of fabric:
- Blue and white gingham seersucker(tiny checks)
- Green quilting fabrics
- Very heavy weight brown corduroy with tiny flecks of orange -- nice stuff
- Medium weight dark blue and green stripe with a sheen to it -- very pretty
- Black velvet
Many of the fabrics were purchased in April at a New England Quilt Museum fund raiser event, Text and Textiles Extravaganza. For $25 you fill up a bag with fabric and/or quilting books -- all donated by members of the NEQM.
I also slipped in a winter scarf of my mom's. I've been struggling to find a home for it and hope this was the right decision. It's very bright colors woven into a paisley pattern. I knew the bow would get crushed but it's made of that ribbon with the wire edges so it can get freshened up real nice at the other end of its journey.
It's not too late for you to send a package to IBOL, too.
The shipping deadline has been extended to
Tuesday, September 8.
