I used this tutorial to make these hacky sacks. Making these is somewhat addictive.
The red one was made with the smallest pattern pieces in the tutorial. The peach/pink one was made with one-inch templates I had here at home. I stuffed them really tight with batting and was amazed how much batting they take.
I wanted to include a noise maker inside but did not have bells, or the suggested plastic egg and super glue. Maybe next time. I just hope I can find empty plastic eggs. As Easter gets closer, that may become easier.
More photos of the hacky sacks here.

I have just discovered and admired your pictures on flickr and linked to your blog. Your DJ is very fresh, I love it. I would never have considered this colour combination but it is really beautiful. And your hacky sacks are yummy. Don't know if I'll resist trying my hand at one...
I will add your blog to my blog-roll now.

thanks for posting the tutorial for these balls. I am printing it out and will see about using some of my many scraps with this.
I see you are working on Dear Jane also - pretty colors - I am on my second one although I have been lazy lately and have not worked on it for the past month while I work on other things.
