Maze of Madness

I was thinking this block's name, L6 - Maze of Madness, was negative until I completed it. Despite hours of work, it's wonky and I have no desire to fix it. I think the problem might be with how I ironed it. Until I finished it and it got all wonky, I was in favor of renaming it "Labyrinth" but now I'm not so sure.

It seems more wonky in the photo than in-person. Does that mean I'm blinded by love?

This block has 47 pieces. The smallest ones are 1/4-inch squares. All the ivory strips are 1/4-inch wide. This was one of the most difficult blocks I've made. I'm glad it's done.

I chose a dense print to contrast with the ivory fabric -- to show off my work, which is now not so wonderful. O well, the pattern of tiny leaves reminds me of a privet hedge maze as shown here.

I redrafted the block so it matches Jane's. I made the tiny green pieces 1/4-inch square -- Brenda had them as 1/4" x 3/8" rectangles.

These photos show my sequence of piecing and one of the interesting mistakes I made!
