Holiday Greetings Fresh from the Oven

My mom's recipe for honey cake is here.

For this year's honey cake. I used a special honey from Germany -- Forest Honey by Breitsamer Honig (marked down at TJ Maxx). The label says it's dark, aromatic, and würzig. According to this source, würzig can mean hot, juicy or spicy. The cake actually tastes spicy hot. I can't tell if that's from the generous amount of ginger or the honey or the synergy of the two. Here's a better picture of the honey label. I did not have the 2 cups required for the recipe and used ordinary honey for the remainder.
