It took two weeks to shoot this replacement block,
I1 - Ralph & Nelda's Wedding. Too many busy days and cloudy days. Today, I noticed my photo of the first block was turned the wrong way and rotated it. That's why the label is turned sideways.

The fabric for my first attempt was given to me about 10 years ago. I used it and kept waiting to like it, but the pink was too peachy and the graphic style of the artwork never went with my other fabrics. I finally got over feeling guilty about not using a fabric given to me by a friend -- and here's my new block. I'm sure some will think I'm crazy to replace this block because the first edition has more pizazz than the second.

The draft and construction were straightforward. This is the first time I'm using this reproduction fabric and I decided to add eight fussy cuts -- subtle ones.
Now I can start my next trip-round-the-world, a series of green blocks.
Dear Jane Progress = 146 Blocks
To date, I have replaced 12 blocks. As of September 11, 2010, I have 23 blocks to go.
