I finally had a chance to try the Ultra Thimble (and then my computer died . . . so this post has taken forever . . . but now I'm here to say that) I think I like it and I'm going to keep trying it. Like others have said, Thimble It, the plastic one, is too slippery. I'm thinking maybe it will be helpful for the hand that's underneath during hand quilting. but that will have to wait until I get to that step (and learn how to do it, BTW!)
