If I could afford it, I'd have a fresh bouquet every day.

This bouquet was purchased for Passover. Peonies are my favorite flower. I favor the full pale pink ones

but these simple dark pink blooms were exquisite. They opened as the room got warmer and then closed

when I opened the door to cool things down. The back of the petals had the sheen of silk.

As they neared the end of their days, the peonies changed to the palest pink; eventually, they were nearly white.

Two weeks later, this is what was left: curly willow and hydrangea. As a
testament to my favorite florist's skill, it doesn't look too bad even stripped down.

Today, I treated myself to this delicate fern and fresh flowers including a pale rose. Voila -- a brand new arrangement!

Mindy,
This is so amazing! As time has gone on you've pluped the pillows, painted the walls, added draperies--and new headers--to your blog to make it your own. I had no idea you could do all this stuff on what initially appeared to be a plain vanilla blog! I'm some impressed. And now, I see, we can add flower arranging to your many talents.
