Surprise from Indianapolis

I love this block, G7 - Indianapolis, because after countless years, I finally got to use the fabric that inspired the colors for my Dear Jane blocks! And, it's in the center of the quilt so at last I can see how the center of the quilt will look. Last night I decided to run it through Mosaic Maker. My first step is to crop the photo of the block to remove the seam allowance so the block is depicted as it will look once it's sewn into a quilt top.

I did not bother guessing how it would look and got a wonderful surprise! I love how the X's form a lattice that seems to fade in and out of this virtual quilt top. It reminds me of xox . . . and cherry pie (something that's been on my mind a lot lately! LOL! . . . enough to get my mouth watering!) I guess I could name this quilt Hugs, Kisses, and Cherry Pie! My only regret is that I did not buy several yards of the pink/red fabric. But now that I think of it, that means I simply cannot make this into a real quilt -- thereby saving me tons of time!
