This is the first year I've participated in Secret Santa at work. A few weeks ago, we drew names. This week, Monday through Thursday, we give a gift each day valued at $3 to $5. On Friday, we will give a gift valued at $7 to $10. This will be today's gift. I'm stretching the value here. The vase was free, the evergreens were found on the ground outside my building, the roses were $5, the gold garland with bells was $5 but I only used about half of it . . . and I plan to give smaller gifts on Wednesday and Thursday so that the Mon through Thurs gifts average out to $5 or less. Anyway, making a floral arrangement was too much fun to pass by!
I filled the vase with surplus pine needles. If I had it to do over, I'd put less pine needles in the water so they would show up better. I think the excess of needles diminishes their beauty. Less would have been more.
This shot was taken from overhead.
