We had a jewelry marathon going here this week. I'll start by showing two bracelets I repaired. Both bracelets had been loved to death and needed new elastic.
This Scandinavian bracelet is from the
Viking House, Concord, NH which has a great selection of gifts from all over the world. I think the dark wooden beads were black when the bracelet was new. Anyway, I love the lustre and color they've developed with wear.

The other bracelet is from the
Rubin Museum of Art gift shop, New York City which has a great selection of gifts and books. The square beads are made from bone. I changed the spacers to make the bracelet just a smidge bigger. The original spacers were wooden spheres. These replacements looks like slices of tiny twigs...possibly cherry.
