Tonight, I decided to make some 5x5 mosaics using two Dear Jane blocks,
D7 - Meeting Place and
F5 - Parcheesi. The two blocks were posted together in June. Both are hand-pieced and neither has any fussy cuts. If you can ignore the curved melon shapes in
Parcheesi, the two blocks seem to be vague mirror images of one another.

Once I made the
Parcheesi 5x5, the uneven lighting in the photo became more obvious. I decided to mask the effects of the uneven lighting by playing with the image on IrfanView. The pattern reminds me of a busy
wrapping paper design.
Most of all, I love the way the two patterns
interact with each other. This combo reminds me of a serene summer quilt. I've named it
Parcheesi Place!

Very nice! Two or 3 color quilts are my favorites. I'm glad you had the link to the individual blocks as I couldn't distinguish them in the whole piece.
