I completed this block today. It's called H1 - Peek-a-Boo.
Now that I've reconciled myself to the fact that I will repeat the fabrics in my quilt, I feel free to use more than one fabric (not counting the background fabric) in a single block. It may appear that I used three fabrics plus the background fabric for this block but it's really two. The squares in the center are cut from the same fabric as the corner pieces. I used the wrong side of the fabric that forms the square bagel. I think this shade of yellow has a fresh look to it.
PS. This is what this block will look like once it's sewn into the quilt top. I just realized the seams in the upper right corner are pressed in the wrong direction -- I want it to appear that the yellow is "on top" of the cream background fabric. Look for the tiny shadows at the seams to see what I mean.

Very pretty.
I love how you pay such careful attention to the details-- the use of color, the overall look of the block, pressing the seams. It's something that I'm working on in this quilt, and it is very inspiring to see how wonderful the results can be in completed blocks. You're giving me lots of much needed motivation! :)
Your blocks are just lovely.
