Thank you for visiting and for your comments!
Here are some of my favorite photos of the quilt. If you click on them, they will expand. You can find more photos at my quilting set on Flickr. I've blogged about this quilt way too many times. These posts will also provide more photos and one posting even has a musical selection inspired by one of the fabrics!
- An online sneak peek before the 2008 VQF
- Exhibiting at the VQF
- Delivering the quilt to its home with details about the owners' involvement in the design process and a photo of the matching pillow!
- Looking for more of one of the fabrics including a reference to the Sheik of Araby -- and some music links!
- Trying to insure the quilt and a peek at the label

Speechless! What a great quilt.
this quilt is stunning!!!
thanks for sharing.
What a fantastic, dramatic quilt! To photograph my quilts, I use lots of wide, double-sides tape to hold it in place on an outside shady wall, and stand as far back as possible - preferably with a tripod.
WOW! Love the boldness.
Oh my, what a beautiful quilt. I bet this quilt looks even better in person!
Love it!

Very nice!
I like the play of the white on black and black on white fabrics in this quilt. The diagonal stripes remind me of one of the first quilts I ever made. Thanks for sharing.
This quilt is great! I really like black in quilts. I'm sure they enjoy it and it's a wonderful heirloom for them.

Delightful quilt, love the graphic nature of it- I am saving B&W fabrics for a two tone quilt-some day!
wow, that's gorgeous.
I've seen this quilt in the flesh (or whatever you call it) and it's really quite striking. Minka's a good photographer but it's a challenge to do justice to this quilt. She's a wonderful quilter and textile artist.
Love the black and white, wonderful quilt!

Black and white is such a great dramatic color combination, and terrible to try to photograph! What a nice quilt, and a nice thing for you to make!
On a side note, it's fun to see how many are working on Dear Jane - my forever project, maybe it's time to work on it again!

Not that you need one more comment about your artistry...but you've got it! Your pastel soap opera was fun too.
